Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any homemade gift ideas for kids?

Sure! I would make homemade rainbow bath bombs; my kids absolutely love them. You could also assemble a craft kit with all of the supplies needed for the kids to make DIY essential oil diffuser ornaments!

Where do I get the labels for these DIY gifts?

You can find all of the free printable labels I offer in my membership resource library.

How long do these DIYs take?

That greatly depends on which homemade gift you choose to make. Room sprays, bath salts, and body scrubs are always quick and easy to make (usually less than 15 minutes!). Soaps and candles are a lengthier process, so you’ll want to allow for more time to complete them.

Does DIY soap have to cure?

Good question! Cold process soap does need to cure for 3-6 weeks, depending on the recipe. So if you’re making cold process soap for Christmas gifts, you’ll need to start in October or November. Melt and pour soap cures for just 24 hours, making it a great option for last-minute gifts.

I hope you found some ideas and inspiration to make homemade Christmas gifts for your entire list! Making your own gifts is an excellent way to keep the shopping budget down, show you care, and deliver a beautiful item they can’t find anywhere else.
