Fight back against the winter dryness and maintain soft, healthy, hydrated skin! Craft the perfect winter skincare routine for dry skin with these nourishing DIY recipes. Choose your perfect products for the body, hands, lips, and feet!
After the intense humidity we get in summer, the winter season hits my skin hard.
It seems like any time I go outside, I come in feeling chapped, dry, and uncomfortable!
Winter doesn’t have to mean flaky or raw skin, though. It just means you need to switch up your skincare routine a little!
I used to skip most of the skincare altogether, and my skin showed it. Cracked and dry or red and chapped skin was the norm all season long.
With just a little tweaking and some nourishing DIY products, my skin might be even healthier in the winter than it is in the summer!
Rich body butters, soothing masks, and a little gentle exfoliation for those flakes make a world of difference year after year.
If you want to give your skin the TLC it deserves, and do it with your very own homemade skincare products, you’ve come to the right place!
You can find recipes for every trouble spot on your body to nourish, hydrate, and soothe dry winter skin.

FAQs
Dryness is the most common problem in the winter, so a skincare routine should include many hydrating, nourishing products. Things like lotions, creams, and masks offer deep conditioning to the skin to keep it healthy all winter long. Exfoliating is also important, to keep flaky skin at bay and allow those moisturizers to penetrate the skin effectively.
Staying hydrated and covering your skin when going out in the cold (especially gloves!) are the first lines of defense. Beyond that, regular use of a body butter or cream will keep that moisture locked in so your skin is happy, healthy, and soft.
I think you’ll find that making your own skincare is a lot easier than it sounds! Many of my DIY recipes take just minutes and only a few ingredients to make. It’s a great way to save money, choose your ingredients, and customize the products to your skin type!
