That depends on the face mask and your skin type, but once a week is a good rule of thumb. I do recommend checking the specific recipe you’re making, as some are best used less often than others!
Face masks do not store well, so it’s best to make just enough to use right away. If you do have leftovers and you want to share them with someone else, store in an airtight container in the fridge and ensure they’re used within a day or two.
Usually just a few ingredients, a bowl, and a stirring utensil! Making your own face masks is so simple, and it only takes a couple of minutes. If you make a face mask with clay, make sure to use a glass or ceramic bowl and a wooden spoon, as metal reacts with clay.
I always look forward to my weekend face mask time. It’s such a fun way to slow down, give your skin a little TLC, and feel your best!
