This gluten-free taco seasoning is so delicious and healthy. No weird added ingredients in this one! It is also a whole30 approved taco seasoning made with spices that are perfect for any Mexican dish, taco night, or busy weeknight dinners.
TACO SEASONING GLUTEN-FREE
Taco seasoning can add so much flavor to any dish, not just Mexican. I like to add it to soups, tacos, sheet pan fajitas, and casseroles.
Mexican is kind of my go-to meal, especially when I don’t have any plans for dinner. It is so easy to whip up fajitas, a taco salad, or Mexican stuffed sweet potatoes. And I love that it can be loaded with fresh greens, herbs, salsa, and avocados. It is so delicious and healthy.
Adding a healthy taco seasoning to ground beef, turkey, or chicken can turn plain meat into a Mexican fiesta!

HOMEMADE TACO SEASONING
Have you ever looked at the ingredients label on a taco seasoning packet? Let me tell you, it is not pretty! It has a million words I can’t pronounce, and most contain gluten, MSG, and sugar.
Store-bought taco seasoning really isn’t the best option for seasoning your food, especially if you have any type of food allergies.
Making your own only takes minutes and is so easy to put together! I really wanted to come up with a sugar-free taco seasoning that was paleo and whole30 approved. This one is the perfect blend of spices and tastes just like the store-bought kind.

HEALTHY TACO SEASONING
All you need to make a healthy taco seasoning recipe is a blend of spices and an airtight jar. I like to store mine in a small mason jar in the pantry with my other spices. Or you can save an empty spice container and fill it with your homemade taco seasoning.
Making a large batch at a time will save you so much time. This recipe will last up to 6 months when stored in an airtight container, so you will only need to make this twice a year! Depending on how often you use taco seasoning will determine how large a batch you will want to make.
This recipe will make about 1/4 cup. I usually double it so it will last me longer.
WHAT’S IN TACO SEASONING?
With a few spices in your pantry, you can whip up a healthy taco seasoning. I try to avoid taco seasonings from the store because most of them have gluten, MSG, artificial dyes, and some form of sugar. Instead, try mixing up a batch of this for the next time you are enjoying tacos.
