This recipe will last up to 6 months.
Store the seasoning in an airtight container like a mason jar or an old spice jar.
I like to make a large batch of this while I have all the spices out. If you use taco seasoning often, you may want to double or triple the recipe to save time.
Please note that this taco seasoning recipe is a bit on the spicy side; for less heat, leave out the red hot pepper flakes.
I recommend adding the seasoning slowly the first time and tasting as you go. 2-3 tablespoons per pound of meat is a standard ratio, but it will depend on how flavorful you like your taco meat.
