Every time I search the web for a paleo frosting, I get overwhelmed.  The recipes require a lot of ingredients, steps, and time.  One year I tried to make a whipped coconut frosting for my son’s cake, and I couldn’t get it to set for the life of me.

This is always my go-to frosting that I fall back on every time. When I frost a cake with this avocado frosting, I hesitate to tell people what it is when they ask, and they always ask. Avocado on top of a cake just doesn’t seem right, but believe me, it is!

Check out this simple recipe, plus 5 different flavor variations below!

PALEO FROSTING

This peanut butter chocolate pudding makes the best paleo frosting for any birthday cake.  Spread over the cake and refrigerate until ready to serve.

I use my paleo brownies recipe (without the added peppermint essential oil) as a chocolate birthday cake.  Topping it with this pudding makes a great healthy birthday cake.

CHOCOLATE PUDDING

Eating a bowl of this pudding plain is a delicious yet healthy snack for anyone.  Because of the ingredients, I even feel good about serving this for breakfast.  My kids think it is the best, and I am still getting vegetables in them, WIN-WIN!

Top it with coconut flakes, nuts, mixed berries, or sliced bananas for an extra special treat!

I love making dessert with avocado and specially chocolate pudding! But my husband never likes it, it’s probably because I used avocados that are too ripe haha. I’m gonna try this soon!

    1. lauraascher says:

Yes if they are too ripe then you will taste the avocados more. I like to disguise them!
