Combine baking soda and essential oils in a small bowl. (Mixing the oils in baking soda will help it incorporate with the water better.)

Mixing the oils with the baking soda is an important step to make sure the aroma from the oils incorporates into the spray. You don't want to skip that step.
If you're using a sprayer with a fine mist nozzle, please keep in mind that the nozzle may clog. To prevent this, be sure to clean the nozzle regularly to ensure it is free from obstructions. You can also opt for a different spray bottle that emits larger droplets.
If you find these room sprays too strong, feel free to reduce the amount of essential oils. This is a good idea for those with small children or pets around.
