Take a hunk of airdry clay and shape it into a "patty." About 1/4 of an inch in thickness.
Press the cookie cutter into the clay and remove excess clay around the cookie cutter. This part will be easier if you don't press the clay hard against the table.
Make a hole near the top of the ornament to thread the string through to hang the ornament.
Set the shape on a plate to dry. This can take 12-48 hours, depending on the size of the ornament.
When it is completely dry, you can paint the ornament or leave it plain.
You can use string, hemp, or ribbon to thread through the hole to hang your ornaments.
Add 12-15 drops of essential oils on the ornament and let it absorb into the clay.
Hang your ornament on the tree.

Notes
When poking your hole, be sure to give it a little space from the top so the weight of the ornament doesn't break the hole.
Apply the essential oils while the ornament is lying flat. Rub them in slightly or let it stay flat until the oils are absorbed into the clay before hanging it on the tree.
If you want to paint your ornaments, wait until they are completely dry then paint the clay before adding the string. You can also paint on glue and sprinkle glitter over it to make your ornaments sparkle.
