DIY Jewelry Cleaner

Make your own ring and jewelry cleaner with ingredients you probably already have on hand.

Ingredients
 

Diamonds and rubies

Pearls or porous stones

Tarnished silver

  • cup of hot water
  • cup of vinegar
  • 1 tsp of baking soda

Costume jewelry & gold

  • Warm water
  • Castile soap

Instructions
 

Diamonds & Rubies

  • Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and mix well.
  • Soak the jewelry for 5 minutes.
  • Scrub clean with a soft bristle brush.
  • Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Pearls & Porous Stones 

  • Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and mix well. 
  • Wet a lint-free cloth in the mixture and gently wipe the stones clean
  • Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

Tarnished Silver

  • Add ingredients to a small bowl.
  • Soak the jewelry in the solution for about 5 minutes.
  • Buff dry with a microfiber towel.
  • Shine with silver polish.

Costume Jewelry & Gold

  • Soak the jewelry in warm water with a touch of soap.
  • Scrub clean with a cloth or soft bristle brush.
  • Rinse any leftover soap residue and pat dry.
