Don’t ignore your cuticles! Make this DIY cuticle oil and slather it on, especially in the winter, to maintain nail health and improve the condition of your nails.
Add all ingredients to a small glass jar, secure the lid and shake well. I used an old nail polish container.
Once mixed, brush or dab the oil onto your cuticles with your fingertips and massage in.
Notes
Use weekly or as needed. Consistency is important.
To store your DIY cuticle oil, find a cool, dry cabinet and seal the lid tightly so no air gets inside.
The maximum shelf life is one year for this cuticle oil combination (if the lid is screwed on well).
I used an old nail polish bottle for my cuticle oil, but cleaning it out was extremely difficult. I would recommend purchasing a new, clean one online.
Rather than a nail polish bottle, a dropper bottle or even a glass jar with a Q-tip can be used.
Once the oil is rubbed into my cuticles, I like to rub the excess all over my hands. It's great for softening and moisturizing any skin!
It’s normal if it feels a bit greasy - this lasts a few minutes, but it gets absorbed by the nails eventually.
