DIY Gel Air Fresheners

This homemade air freshener is easy to make, inexpensive, and smells incredible!

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tbsp of unflavored gelatin
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 8 drops of orange essential oil
  • 6 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 4 drops of tangerine essential oil
  • 2 drops of grapefruit essential oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat water in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the salt and stir until dissolved.
  • Stir in gelatin until dissolved.
  • Remove from heat, allow it to cool slightly, and add essential oils.
  • Transfer to two 8-ounce glass mason jars.
  • Allow the air freshener to cool completely before covering it with a breathable lid.

Notes

NOTE: You can make your own vented lid by punching several small holes through a mason jar top or by using a piece of fabric.
