Add the essential oils and witch hazel to a glass spray bottle. It is always best to use glass when making anything with essential oils, as the oils can break down plastic over time.
Top off the spray bottle with water, secure spray top, and shake well to combine all ingredients
Mist into the air as needed. You can also spray inside the toilet bowl, on bath mats, or on the shower curtains to freshen up.
Why Make Air Freshener?
So now you see how simple it is to make your own air freshener, but why mess with it?
Unfortunately, conventional air fresheners bought from the store are loaded with harsh ingredients that can affect indoor air quality.
Air fresheners, candles, plug-ins, etc., use artificial fragrances and other ingredients that can disrupt endocrine, reproductive organs, irritate the skin, eyes, and respiratory system.
These sprays can be harmful if breathed in or if they get in the eyes.
Making your own takes away that risk; it is super simple and is cost-effective. Plus, you can customize it for any scent that you want!
So give this homemade bathroom air freshener a try, and let me know what you think in the comments below.

What does withch hazel do? What if we skip it?
Laura says
The witch hazel will help the oils mix with the water a little better and can help the scent to last longer.
You can totally leave it out and just top the bottle off with water.

This bath spray contains water, it should include a broad spectrum preservative, correct?
